Privacy Policy
Kelvotra LLC publishes PDF Home Pro on Google Play under the public developer name “Melanie Dawn Gainey.” This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the PDF Home Pro Android application, package com.pdfhome.pro (the “App”), or visit https://pdfhomepro.com (the “Website”).
The App is built primarily for on-device document work. It can discover and manage supported PDF and Office files in storage that Android permits it to access, provide PDF tools, and optionally act as an Android Home screen. Analytics, attribution, crash reporting, remote configuration, website hosting, and advertising services process limited device, usage, diagnostic, and advertising information outside your device as described below.
For privacy questions or requests, email support@pdfhomepro.com.
1. Local document and launcher processing
Documents and files
When you grant All files access, PDF Home Pro scans accessible shared storage to create and refresh an on-device library of supported PDF, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files. The App may display, open, read, edit, convert, merge, split, lock, unlock, rename, share, delete, or otherwise manage files when you use the corresponding feature.
Document contents, file names, paths, metadata, passwords, raw file-search terms, imported images, and scan results are processed locally for the action you request. We do not send document contents, file names, paths, passwords, or raw local search terms to analytics or advertising providers. If you share a file or open it in another app, Android transfers it to the destination you selected, and that destination applies its own privacy terms.
Scans and selected images
Scan PDF uses the Google Play services ML Kit Document Scanner interface. Google Play services handles page capture and any image import performed inside that interface. After you confirm the pages, PDF Home Pro receives the resulting images or PDF and continues processing them on your device.
Image to PDF opens Android’s system content picker through Intent.ACTION_GET_CONTENT. The App receives only the image or images you select and uses them locally to create the requested PDF.
Installed apps and the optional launcher
The optional Home screen and app drawer use installed-app information to match apps with their names and icons, display and search the app list, open an app you choose, and create shortcuts. App names, package names, labels, icons, and the installed-app list remain on the device for those launcher functions. We do not provide this installed-app information to third parties. Analytics may receive only launcher action categories and technical outcomes, not installed-app names or package names.
Preferences and searches
Language, bookmarks, recent items, widget style, permission state, feature prompts, and default Home app state are stored locally. Android backup or a device-transfer feature you initiate may copy these settings. File and app-drawer search terms also remain local.
If you actively submit a web search from the Home screen, the query is passed to Google Search through your system or default browser. Google and the browser process that query under their own policies. The App’s analytics for this action are limited to fields such as query length, entry point, and action category.
2. Information processed automatically by online services
Depending on App version, region, consent choice, device settings, and enabled configuration, our providers may process:
- App activity, including launches, broad screen or tool categories, operation outcomes, permission results, ad requests, impressions, clicks, and advertising revenue events.
- Installation and attribution details, including installation or launch timing, App version, installation referrer data, and device or installation identifiers used for attribution.
- General App and device information, including Android version, device model or brand, language, time zone, network type, and technical configuration.
- Crash and performance data, including stack traces, application state, error categories, SDK errors, and diagnostic device metadata.
- Advertising data, including IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, advertising ID or app set ID where available, consent signals, ad interactions, and information used for delivery, measurement, frequency control, and fraud prevention.
Our custom analytics use categories, counts, entry points, results, and technical status. They do not include document data, raw search terms, installed-app names, or installed-app package names.
3. Information you choose to provide
When you contact support, we receive your email address and anything you include in the message, attachments, or troubleshooting details. Send only information necessary for the request. We use the correspondence to answer you, investigate issues, protect the service, and keep records where reasonably necessary.
The Website does not use account registration, analytics scripts, advertising, or cookies set by us. The hosting provider and your browser may still process ordinary request data, such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and security logs, to deliver and protect the Website.
4. Purposes of processing
We process information to:
- Provide document discovery, organization, reading, editing, conversion, scanning, merge, split, security, sharing, widget, and optional launcher features.
- Preserve local settings and operate the App reliably.
- Measure installations, attribute acquisition sources, and understand aggregate feature performance.
- Detect crashes, diagnose failures, improve stability, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Deliver, measure, limit, and manage advertising that supports the App.
- Respond to support and privacy requests.
- Meet legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect users, the App, and our rights.
5. Advertising and your choices
PDF Home Pro is advertising-supported and may show app-open, interstitial, and native ads. Providers may use the advertising information described in this Policy for delivery, personalization where allowed, measurement, frequency control, and fraud prevention. The result depends on your location, consent choice, device settings, App version, remote configuration, and mediation setup.
Where required, the App asks for an applicable privacy or advertising choice before requesting personalized ads. Declining personalized advertising may still result in non-personalized or limited ads where supported. You can also reset or delete the Android advertising ID, use privacy controls exposed by the App or device, revoke permissions, or contact us. The controls available to you vary by region, device, App version, and provider.
6. Providers and disclosures
We use the following services to operate, measure, protect, and monetize the App. A released package may contain an adapter even when that provider is not currently receiving traffic. Actual initialization and requests depend on version, region, consent, remote configuration, and mediation-console settings.

AppsFlyer receives installation attribution and session data, plus a dedicated advertising-revenue event with amount and currency. Applicable configured partners may also receive campaign postbacks, including session postbacks. Custom PDF, launcher, and permission events are handled by the analytics services for the purposes described above.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce agreements, protect users or the public, investigate fraud or security events, or complete a corporate transaction with appropriate safeguards and notice where required.
7. Android permissions and system capabilities

You can revoke permissions or change default-app selections in Android Settings. Android applies a default Home app or file handler only after you confirm the system prompt.
8. Retention and deletion
- Local files and settings stay on your device until you delete them, clear App storage, or uninstall the App, subject to Android backup and storage behavior.
- Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain necessary business or security records, and comply with law.
- Analytics, attribution, crash, advertising, hosting, and security information follows our configuration, each provider’s retention rules, and the period reasonably required for the purposes in this Policy.
To request access to or deletion of information controlled by us, email support@pdfhomepro.com. Most off-device information is associated with device or installation identifiers rather than a user account, so we may request limited details needed to locate it. If a provider controls the relevant information, we may direct or forward the request to that provider.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures, including restricted dashboard access, a limited analytics schema, and encrypted connections such as HTTPS or TLS where supported. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You remain responsible for your device, local files, document passwords, and copies shared with others.
10. International processing
Our providers may process information outside the country where you live. Where required, we and our providers use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers. Provider policies linked above explain their locations and transfer practices.
11. Your rights and controls
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of information; withdraw consent; appeal a decision; or complain to a data protection authority. Legal limitations may apply, and a right may not be available for information that cannot reasonably be linked to you.
You may also revoke permissions, change default apps, reset or delete the advertising ID, use available App privacy choices, delete local files, clear App storage, uninstall the App, or email support@pdfhomepro.com.
12. Children’s privacy
PDF Home Pro is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask a child to provide a name, contact information, or document contents. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support@pdfhomepro.com. Parents and guardians should supervise minors’ use of device files, sharing, the optional launcher, and third-party advertising.
13. Policy changes
We may revise this Policy when the App, SDKs, providers, law, or data practices change. The current version will be posted at https://pdfhomepro.com/privacy/ with an updated date. Additional notice or consent will be provided when required for a material change.
